Future Ready Oregon: BOLI Apprenticeship Grants Program
The Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) Apprenticeship and Training Division (ATD) was awarded $18.9 Million in pass-through grant funds to support the development, expansion and implementation of registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs. The funds will accelerate innovation in health care and manufacturing apprenticeships and support the development of pre-apprenticeship training programs in healthcare, manufacturing, and construction.
Round 3 is the final FRO grant round and it is different from previous rounds in several ways! To be more responsive and expedite funding approval, Round 3 has been re-designed so that applications can be reviewed and approved more quickly. This application period will run several months longer than previous rounds and will open on November 4, 2022, and close on March 10, 2023. During this application period however, interim approval cycles have been created so that submitted applications can be reviewed and approved sooner. Two additional grant types have also been added in Round 3 to allow applicants to apply for both a Development grant and either a Pre-Apprenticeship or Apprenticeship grant in one application.
